About CorpCapture
Take over the world's markets and buy its parliaments, using every corporate, financial and legal trick.
CorpCapture is a territory game on a real map of the world, played as a corporation. Spread your market across the map, take over your rivals, and buy the parliaments of the countries you do business in. Markets spread quickly through towns and cities and slowly through empty country, and real town names from OpenStreetMap appear as you zoom in.
Every country has 100 seats. Your market share wins seats slowly, lobbying and bribes buy them faster, and elections throw some out again (more if your company has a scandal brewing). With a majority the country works for you: you pay no tax there, your rivals pay you tariffs, and its unclaimed land is handed over. Own the parliaments of half the world economy to win.
There are a dozen tricks along the way: shell companies that open a front anywhere on the map, lawsuits fired from your law firms, antitrust complaints that split a rival in two, bear raids, currency attacks, whistleblowers, poison pills and offshore entities in real tax havens.
Play against computer corporations on the whole world, Europe, North America, Asia or Africa, online with friends (with or without a RingStack account), or ranked one on one against players near your rating.
Version 1.2.1 · what’s new
- v1.2.1Current17h ago
- On phones, the keyboard no longer covers the box you're typing in (room codes, names and chat): the game's panels move up above it.
- v1.2.018h ago
- Markets follow where people live. Every tile now knows how built-up it is (from OpenStreetMap towns and villages), and campaigns move quickly through towns and cities and slowly through empty country, mountains and deserts. Fronts reach out along settled land instead of spreading as even diamonds. - Town and city names on the map. Big cities show first, then towns as you zoom in, and villages on the regional maps. Built-up land is printed a shade darker. - Map data now includes OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors), credited on the title screen.
- v1.1.01d ago
- Ranked play. Pick Ranked on the title screen to be matched one on one with a player near your rating (it widens the search the longer you wait). Matches are on a random regional map with local firms and no computer corporations, start as soon as you're both in, and end after 25 minutes if nobody has won by then: the bigger owner of parliament GDP wins, then the bigger market. Ratings use Elo; your change shows on the end screen. - Leaving a ranked match for 90 seconds counts as a loss. If your opponent never turns up, the match is off and nobody's rating moves. - New leaderboards for ranked rating and ranked wins, and two achievements: win a ranked match, and reach a 1500 rating.
